Tonight was the first Relief Society activity we've had since I've been put in as 2nd counselor. Fortunately, we have incredibly talented sisters who were willing and able to put on such a spectacular evening for all of us...and I just got to attend! We had soup and rolls for dinner (to satisfy our appetites and give us energy for the bidding wars that followed) while all the sisters filled out cards or placed their "service" on the stage to be auctioned off. We combined the evening with the young women, which made the array of services more fun! There was everything from babysitting to homemade bread for a year (the one that Laurin coveted and won) to large Care Bears (Amber got that one) and Christmas picture card designs (that was the one I won). To bid, we were all provided with a points sheet in which we gained a certain amount of points for checking off things we'd done that week (e.g., fill up our car, read our scriptures, etc.) We had a great turn out and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. I feel so humbled to be surrounded by so many amazing women. I feel blessed to be able to be in a position to serve them. I'm excited for more activities and more chances to get to know all of them!

The bidding got a little intense when people started standing up!
