Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Yes...another fun holiday. Today Lucky the Leprechaun came to visit! (Actually he came the day before as well to drop off stuff for Dallin and Danny to take to Idaho with them for the weekend.) Lucky left a fun treasure hunt for Jonas when he woke up. We found our first clue in the kitchen by a box of Lucky Charms he left us for breakfast. Our hunt led us around the house until finally Jonas found the “treasure” under the table. It was a bag full of green or rainbow goodies and gifts. He especially loved the bubble gun and chocolates!
What Lucky brought for Dallin and Danny.

After eating our Lucky Charms and playing with the bubble gun, we headed to Provo to play at Lowe’s Xtreme Air. Dallin and Danny got to play there on Thursday with some of Stan’s kids after Evan’s wedding, but Jonas slept through it all. When he woke up, we were already heading to the reception and he was a bit disappointed that he didn’t get to play so we went back today. He had a blast jumping, climbing and sliding. I think he also enjoyed that Jeff was there. I’m generally always with him so it was treat to have his daddy climb around and slide with him.

Once we finished jumping around, we decided to head to O’Crowley’s Irish Tacos to give it a try. Why not? It was St. Patrick’s Day after all and it was literally the only “Irish” themed restaurant I could find. Plus, trying something new is always fun. The tacos were really good! (Although I think they were still a little more Mexican than Irish.) The meat was marinated with Irish seasonings and had potatoes in it too. I also really enjoyed the “pot of gold” fruit salad with homemade whipped cream. It was definitely a fun and festive lunch!

The rest of the evening we spent at home. Jonas pulled Jeff outside to play with his green frisbee while I made dinner that night. Again, it was themed. We had bangers and mash with a brown onion gravy and green key lime pie for dessert. Life is too short to pass up opportunities to celebrate! I truly hope everyone feels as lucky as I do on this St. Patrick’s Day!
