12 Days of Christmas Kindness: Day 3
Today the boys decided that they wanted to go to the temple for their kindness activity. I love that we have such a variety of activities. I hope that the kids can see how simple and inexpensive it can be to show kindness. We do have a few more expensive activities, but kindness doesn't require money. Earlier this week, I was able to do a little research to find some family names to take to the temple. These are names of individuals who have died without being able to receive the ordinances and covenants required to return to live in God's presence again. We believe that even though they have passed on, we can do those ordinances/covenants for them, which would then allow them to make the choice if they are willing to accept those covenants to return to live with our Father in Heaven. Since Jonas (and Jeff and I) has been sick, we didn't attend the temple, but the boys took a few of those names to do baptisms. Just another way to change a person's life with a small sacrifice of time and a simple act of kindness.
