One thing I really enjoy about Utah (but don't often take advantage of) is all the fun summer festivals. Every town/city has a weekend of festivities with parades, fairs, car shows, and so much more. Unfortunately, I don't regularly make it to all of them, but we do like to try to hit one or two - namely Salem Days and Payson's Onion (still hate that name!) Days. Jeff is not a fan of parades but Salem's parade is so small he can tolerate it...and Jonas loves it! (Well...let's be honest...all the kids love it because of the otter pops and candy that get thrown!) Jonas had a blast shouting and dancing around for candy. We even saw a few of Dallin's high school friends. His friend, Tiffany, is Miss Salem. Jonas thought it was pretty cool that she shouted out to him...actually he was a little embarrassed. Haha! After the parade, we walked over to the car show. This is probably everyone's favorite part of these festivals. We all enjoy looking at the classic cars. Jeff will spend quite a bit of time admiring the restoration of these cars. At one point, Jonas decided he'd had enough so he went to play on the playground while Jeff and the others continued to look at the cars. Jonas did, however, enjoy the army jeep. All in all, it was a fun morning!
