12 Acts of Kindness: Acts 2 & 3

Today we checked off a couple more Acts of Christmas Kindness. Initially, I worried that doing multiple acts of kindness on random days would perhaps detract from the spirit of what we are trying to accomplish, but if anything, it has provided more fun for our family on those evenings and more opportunities as parents to talk about how these acts are showing kindness to mostly anonymous recipients. Tonight, we checked off our neighbor gifts and snowball fight activities. This year, we bought little kitchen timers to give to our friends and neighbors along with a little message to remind them to find "time" for Christ this season. Delivering these gifts is always a good time! I drove and the boys took turns placing the timers in mailboxes. Sometimes I didn't get close enough so the boys were hanging out the window as they tried to reach the mailboxes. Thankfully, we are all safe and happy...and a little delirious from all the laughing!

Once it got dark, Jacob and Amber joined us for our Snowball fight. This is when we anonymously leave some powdered donuts and festive drinks at a couple houses with the instructions for that family to then do the same for two other families. Thus the snowball effect! Fingers crossed that it touches many more houses before the holidays are over!
