Pre-birthday celebrations

Today I took Danny out of school for a birthday lunch. This was a tradition my dad always did with me and I love being able to carry on that tradition with the boys. Since we will be in California on Danny's actual birthday, we got the party started a little early. Danny chose to go to Arby's for lunch. Afterwards, we stopped by our local donut shop and bought a couple dozen donuts for Danny to bring to his class. I treasure these moments I am able to share with the kids.
