Meanwhile, back at home, Jeff's brother, Brad, was in town from Guam. They had a blast catching up and hanging out. Even Stan drove down from Idaho Falls to hang out. On Sunday, Gma Penny invited all the grandkids (and great-grands) to join us for lunch and to celebrate Brad's birthday. I feel very lucky to have married into such a great family. My family of origin and my little family now mean the world to me. It's just icing on the cake that I love my in-laws too!

Girls Trip & Family
This was a crazy weekend for us! After Jeff and I returned from picking up the van in Spokane, I left again the following morning for a previously planned trip with two friends, Heather Obray and Julie Atkinson. We headed to St. George for a quick 24 hour trip to see David Archuleta perform at the Tuacahn theater in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The production was phenomenal and the company was so fun! On the way down, we stopped to do some work at the Cedar City temple. When we reached St. George, we headed to Julie's house to relax and chat....something none of us really get to do on a regular basis. Haha! I just enjoyed hanging out with other moms in similar situations and realizing that I'm pretty "normal" (if there is such a thing). That evening, we drove by the new temple being built in St. George and visited the old one. We also had dinner in their quaint downtown area before heading to the show. It was so fun! Even after the show, we stayed up until 1:00 a.m. just chatting. I was the wimp who finally gave up and said I had to go to bed (although Heather and Julie were in total agreement). The next morning, we woke up and drove home. A quick trip, but so much fun...and so needed!
