Today activity was little more personal (and a little less work overall). Tuesdays are busy days for our family. Dallin had a basketball game. Daniel had his first young men's activity (caroling! He was beyond excited!). And Jeff had bishopric meeting. We wouldn't have much time to do an actual activity so today we decided to write thank you notes to various friends, family, or others. Everyone wrote at least one note (Danny wrote 5!) specifically detailing reasons why that person is thankful for the recipient. I feel like gratitude, especially written thank you notes, is often overlooked but incredibly needed. It is good to not only recognize but verbalize gratitude for those around us. There are so many people who make our lives better. Christmas is a great time to express that...and hopefully, develop a habit of verbal or written gratitude year round.
