I think even more than the day he was baptized, Daniel has been anxiously anticipating this moment. Today Daniel received the Aaronic Priesthood and was ordained to the office of a deacon. So what does that mean? Today Daniel continued on his journey back to his Father in Heaven. He has been given the sacred privilege of receiving the authority to utilize God's power on earth. While there is still yet a high priesthood to receive, Daniel has accepted the responsibility to receive this "lesser" priesthood in preparation. With this priesthood, Daniel has been given the charge to serve, care for, admonish, and guide Christ's children here on earth. He is ready. We have every confidence that he will rise to the challenge. He truly desire to do right. As his parents, we are well aware that he is not perfect, but there is no young man who loves more than Daniel. He has a big heart. He wants to choose the right. He will succeed. We are so proud of you Daniel!
