After taekwondo, Jonas and I ran over to the SF Hospital and put candy canes on cars. We always try to do this as quickly as possible so we don't get caught! However, sometimes we catch the expressions of a few people who wander out to their cars while we're still there. It's always nice to see their smiles or even hear a few "thank you's".
Once we finished, we took the long way home so we could enjoy all the Christmas lights. Even though Jonas is aware of Santa's secret, we still have fun with our little elf, Jingle. Jonas helps hide him every other day, and I have Jingle bring treats or activities to enjoy on the other days. Today, Jingle brought a Christmas light scavenger hunt list so we grabbed an Oreo Peppermint Shake from Wall Bros Barn and searched for the items on the list as we drove home. I always enjoyed looking at lights when I was little. It was a free, fun activity our family could do. It is one of my fondest Christmas memories. I hope Jonas will cherish these memories too.
