12 Days of Christmas Kindness: Day 8

For today's activity, we went to the Dollar Store and taped 10 dollar bills to various items in the store. Again, it may not be much, but it's sure to bring a smile. The boys love secretly doing this. One will often stand watch as the other places the bill on the item. Surprisingly enough, there is a lot of thought that goes into this activity. The boys will contemplate what items could be of most use for someone who is a head of household or what items a small child would want but may not get because finances are tight or simply what is an item that already brings joy to which we could add extra joy. I love that these activities are done in secret. I love that we don't always know the reaction of the recipient. I simply love feeling joy and happiness myself as we have the opportunity to serve in such a way.
