CAKe: Act 9

Lest you think we forgot about our Christmas acts of kindness, we checked another couple acts off the list this weekend. As you can see, it has been a busy week with all the fun activities, not to mention necessary responsibilities and previous obligations. In fact, this morning we attended our ward's Christmas breakfast (sorry...Jeff and I were helping to prepare and serve the food so I didn't get any pictures) then enjoyed Danny's Christmas recital in the afternoon. I am so glad that he liked his private lesson teacher enough to continue with her even though he decided not to participate in orchestra at school. He has a real talent. I often wonder what it would be like if he actually practiced like we beg him to do, but for what he does practice, he plays beautifully. This year, he played a duet of First Noel and Pachelbel's Cannon. I know I'm a little biased, but it was definitely the best song of the recital.

That evening, however, we found a little time to start a "snowball fight". This is one of the boys' favorite act of kindness, especially Jonas. He loves dressing like a ninja in dark clothes and being stealthy as they leave donuts and milk at a door before knocking and running away. He loves being sneaky. Thankfully, Danny is there to run with him so he doesn't get hurt as they hop fences and hurdle canals. (This year, we actually got to do this twice because a few days later, Winston's family [Danny saw them] got us back! Jonas was super excited. He always wanted to be on the receiving end of this act of kindness so a couple days after that, we were out doing it again.)
