Lowes Xtreme Air and Disney on Ice

I was so excited all week because my older sister, Nichole, and nephew and niece, Tyler (12) and Kate (5) came to visit us this weekend! It is their Spring Break so they decided to escape the impending heat...but I don't think they were expecting temps still in the low 50s. Oh well! They came in on Friday night and by Saturday it was time to play! We started off by taking all the kids to Lowes Xtreme Air in Provo. It has trampolines, rock walls, basketball, trapeez swings, and more. It was smaller than what I expected and was pretty packed, but the kids had fun.

Jeff met up with us for lunch (he attended a funeral that morning) after we left the Air Park. We headed over to Awful Waffle for lunch. There is nothing awful about this place. It is tucked into a condo community and serves everything from waffles to crepes and pizzas. It was my first time there even though my sister and her kids have been before. I think Jeff and I might have to try it again.
After lunch, Jeff took the boys to Dallin's basketball game (which he won by a landslide) and the girls and I headed to Salt Lake to see Disney on Ice's presentation of Dare to Dream featuring Princess Tianna, Cinderella, and Rapunzel. I know I just announced that I turned 34 this week, but I become like a little kid again when it comes to things like this. I guess there's still that little girl in me that likes to dream about far off castles and princes in disguise, but the best part is...I'm living that dream now. Granted I never thought my far off castle would be found in Utah, but the prince is the best thing that has ever happened to me. In any case, Nichole and I met up with my other sister, Krystle, and took Laurin, Amber and Kate to the show. (My little brother Scott also went to the show with his wife, Mel, and daughter, Kaia. We didn't sit together but we were able to chat during intermission.)When I was little, my parents would take all of us kids to Disney on Ice. I remember going for years so it was fun to be able to do this with my sisters. The show was really well done. The costumes and set designs were amazing. During the Rapunzel story, Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder were even airborn as they sailed around the ice holding onto long silk sheets (that represented her hair). It was a fun time...and more good memories! After the show, we had dinner at Kneaders then went back to the house to finally rest from all the play!
