Priesthood Preview

It was another busy week. Aside from the activities listed in the previous blog posts, I volunteered in the boys' classes, attended two more of Dallin's basketball games, and finished my normal weekly chores. On top of it all, Jeff and I both got sick. It was a rough week battling colds/flu and sleepless nights. However, we survived and today we felt well enough to go to church. I was grateful that I was able to attend church and to go with Dallin to his Priesthood Preview with the bishop. The bishop pulled in all the boys who would be turning 12 and gave them a lesson on what it means to receive the priesthood and be a worthy priesthood holder. I am so proud of Dallin. He has made it a goal to read the entire Book of Mormon before he turns 12 (which he will easily finish before May 12). He is quick to obey and has such a tender heart. He loves life and has a contagious personality. I felt privileged to be with him during this pivotal moment in his life. I am so grateful for the priesthood and its blessing in my life. I am grateful to have had a father who honored his priesthood and was ready to provide guidance and comfort as I was growing up (and even as an adult). I feel even more blessed to be married to an amazing man who honors his priesthood and who blesses our family because of it. I don't know where I'd be without the guidance of worthy men in my life. To all such men I say, "Thank you!" (The picture below is the invitation we received for Dallin's Priesthood Preview. Sorry it's not turned right...I'm still trying to figure out this whole blog thing.)
