Snow!!! and Christmas decorations

So what does an AZ girl do on the day her sister and niece return to AZ before the massive snow storm that dumped 12-14 inches of snow during the day?! If you said pout...you would be partially correct, but to keep my spirits up, I decided to put up the Christmas decorations. I spent the day putting the house back in order and putting out all the decorations, except the tree. That evening, we decorated the tree for Family Home Evening (on Tuesday since Monday evening was busy) and discussed a new family tradition - 12 days of service! Jeff and I are really excited about this. For days we've heard almost all the kids talk about what they want or are getting for Christmas, but not much has been said about what they are willing to give. We have decided to try to change that mindset by doing little acts of service for 12 days leading up to Christmas (we are actually going to stop on the 23rd since we have our Christmas Eve traditions). Tonight we planned which activities we are going to do so stay tuned to find out how our new tradition unfolds!
