Tonight Dallin had his first court of honor. As I mentioned in my previous post, we've been working with the boys on their scouting. I remember my mom working tirelessly on scouting with my brothers. I wish I had paid a little more attention to what she did! I feel a little lost sometimes, but it's been really fun to see the boys working on their scouting requirements. It's definitely a family project at times. In any case, Dallin received his scout and tenderfoot ranks. He is only one campout away from receiving his second class and just a few more requirements away from receiving his first class. I love to see his enthusiasm for scouting. It definitely makes my job easier. He's excited to start earning merit badges and to continue to receive his rank advancements. Way to go Dallin!!
Dallin participated in the flag ceremony.
During the court of honor, Amber received a phone call. She had tried out for Payson Community Theater's summer musical, Shrek. She'd received several call backs but nothing had been decided. Well, the director called her and informed her that she got the roll of teen Fiona in the production. He added that he was very impressed with her auditions and talents. I am super proud of her! She is a "go-getter" and doesn't let anything sway her from her goals. I am excited to be able to see the final production in August!
