Plan and Prepare an Outdoor Meal

Jeff and I have been working with the boys on scouting stuff. Danny is very close to getting his Wolf and Dallin is finishing up his Second and First Class. I'm proud of both boys for their hard work and their enthusiasm about scouting. In any case, one of the requirements for Danny to receive his Wolf is to plan and prepare a outdoor meal...so for FHE we decided to have a little cookout in the backyard. Danny came up with the menu items (hot dogs and S'mores) and I added some veggies and voila!, we had a very fun and filling meal. I enjoyed sitting around a fire (although I wasn't too fond of smelling like one afterwards) and listening to the kids laugh. I've discovered that there is no greater joy than seeing your kids happy. I was glad that Danny provided us with an excuse to do this. I hope we do a few more during the summer.
