Today was another busy day! This week has been flying by! I thought last week was busy but this week tops it all. There are so many end-of-school activities on top of just the normal activities that I have felt like I've been running a marathon all week! This morning started out with a trip to the Payson temple. Each week the temple construction workers attend a devotional. The wards in the temple district have been providing muffins and cookies as treats following the devotional. This week was our turn and I volunteered to deliver the goodies. I love watching the temple take form right from my backyard. I feel so lucky and blessed to live in a place where there is easy access to a temple...and even easier access come 2015. I am grateful for the blessing of the temple. Knowing that I am sealed to the man I love for all eternity has brought me such strength...and none of that would be possible if it weren't for the temple. As I arrived that morning, the full time missionaries escorted me and Sis. Chandler into a room where we placed our goodies. I snapped a quick pic then went to the deck to snap a pic of the temple. Elder Scott Whiting of the Quorum of the 70 was present. I was able to shake his hand and speak with him about the progress of the temple (which he says is right on track). Again, what a blessing it is to live so close to those men and women who have been called to serve God and to be His representatives. It was a great start to my day!

So since Dallin's 6th grade graduation on Monday, it's just been a party week for him! Today he participated in a shootout. All the kids received tickets based on how many minutes they'd been reading over the year. The tickets were then pulled at random and the kids were allowed to shoot baskets. Based on which baskets they made, they received a certain amount of money (e.g., $1, $2, $5, etc.) Well let's just say that Dallin made it home with $39! He was the first and only kid to make a half court shot in the history of Taylor Elementary School! To say he was elated would be an understatement. I don't think he's ever come home from school so excited before! Here's a pic of Dallin and his cash.
Finally, as I was busy trying to get dinner prepared, my handsome husband came home with a bouquet of flowers and some cake bites from Sugar Tooth Fairy...just because. It was a pleasant surprise after a busy day/week/month! We have been so busy that we've hardly seen each other so the flowers and treats were an extremely welcomed treat. Please tell me that the summer won't be as busy?! I have a feeling this is only the beginning!
