Today I had the privilege (although some may think I was crazy for volunteering) of chaperoning Dallin's class to the Salt Lake Bee's game. The Bees are a minor league baseball team that feeds the LA Angels. I was excited when I discovered that because my dad and I support the Angels during Spring Training games in Arizona. I can't say that baseball is one of my favorite games to watch, but I like attending at least one or two games. I love the atmosphere of being at the ball field watching America's favorite pastime. Today was no different. I especially loved the fact that I was able to be there with Dallin. I've missed out on so many fieldtrips over the years that I didn't want to miss out on any other opportunities. I have to admit the day was a little crazy. The Bees hosted several schools and there were kids EVERYWHERE! But we still had fun. I was flattered when several kids from Dalin's class rushed up to be in my group. I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to volunteer in his classroom. I enjoyed being with the kids, watching a game, and soaking in the sun!
After a day at the ball field...I spent an evening there as well! Tonight the boys had more baseball games. It was Daniel's first game and he was more than excited! In fact, when I went into his bedroom this morning he had all his baseball gear ready to go!
Both boys played well. This is Danny's first year in coach pitch and he actually hit every time he was up to bat. Dallin continues to do well overall (even though he doesn't seem to be enjoying baseball as much as basketball). Here are just a few pics...I promise not to inundate you with tons over the next month!
