Ava Wren

Welcome to the world Baby Ava Wren Irons! While we celebrated Laurin's birthday on April 6th, she was having sporadic contractions. Little Ava wasn't due for another 9 days, but by the next morning, Laurin was admitted to the hospital and Miss Ava arrived shortly before noon. While we all knew it was a girl, we anxiously awaited the name. Even Laurin and Casey weren't entirely sure. Laurin later laughed because Casey was trying to get her to decide the name while she was actively in labor. Thankfully, he let her finish bringing this sweet angel into the world before deciding the name. It was between Ava and Abigail, but once Laurin held her, Ava Wren just fit. I am constantly in awe of our daughters. I see them give birth and pick up right where they left off in life. Laurin is definitely a superhero. She may not feel like it at times, but the way she patiently manages the baby plus Carter and Everly is nothing short of miraculous. We have ALL loved doting on Baby Ava, especially Jonas. He was so excited to be the first uncle to hold her... and to actually go to the hospital to see her (he hasn't done that with any of the others). Carter was pretty territorial in the hospital. He just wanted to hold Ava all by himself. He is going to be a very protective big brother. Everly seemed excited but didn't quite know the changes that would lie ahead. This little family of four just the day before instantly grew to a family of five...and our hearts could not be more full!
