After dropping off the candy canes, Jonas and I grabbed a peppermint Oreo shake from the Wall Bros Barn then took the long way home. Jingle, our elf, brought us a Christmas light scavenger hunt to do. We have done this for the past several years. We love wandering through the neighborhoods and crossing off the items on our list as we indulge in our holiday shake. I love Christmas lights. I love that at the darkest time of year, people choose to add a little more light. It reminds me of His light and our charge to share that light with others. We may fully embrace all the commercialized aspects of the holiday, but the true meaning is never far from our minds and hearts.

CAKe: Act 10
We winding down our 12 acts of kindness. This month always flies by! I enjoy all the Christmas craziness though. Yes, it can be exhausting. Yes, I wonder if I try to cram in too much, but then I hear my kids or grandkids talk fondly about our traditions and I just keep going. Today, Jonas and I placed candy canes on cars at the Spanish Fork Hospital. This is one we try to do quickly so we don't get caught, but inevitably, we always catch someone at their car. Jonas doesn't hesitate to give them a candy cane directly and wish them a Merry Christmas. I love to see their smiles. That candy cane may get tossed, but the warmth and feelings it leaves behind remain.
