CAKe: Act 11
We're nearing the end of our acts of kindness tradition. I always enjoy these activities. I think it helps me better reflect on the meaning of the season. This one didn't cost us any money. It did, however, require a Saturday morning sleep-in sacrifice. Jonas wasn't too excited that he had to get up a little early on his first day of Christmas break. I can't say that I blame him, but once we were up, we were ready to go. We headed to the church where we got to clean our place of worship. I'm grateful to live in a country that allows us the freedom to worship as we believe. I wished we, as a country, could be a little more accepting of others' faith. I wish we could focus on our commonalities and not our differences. Still, I'm grateful to have a community that I get to worship with...and I try hard to be an example of Christ in all I do...including cleaning the church on a Saturday morning.
