Labor Day

After Lagoon, everyone came back to our house to stay the rest of the weekend (including Laurin). It was a pretty relaxed Sunday. After church, we went to Jeff's parents' house for dinner. They then took us to a near-by town called Spring Lake...so named because of the little lake there. We went to the lake and fed the ducks before heading back to Jeff's parents' house to play games and roast S'mores.

Just some of the Southwick clan from L to R: Jeff, Dallin, Evan, Amber, Trudy, Travis, Penny, Daniel, Bennett, Katie, Laurin, Maci, Grant, Kristi, Carson and Stan.
The true Southwick clan!
On Monday (Labor Day), the kids woke up and spent the last few hours playing with their cousins before Stan and Kristi had to drive back to Idaho. After they left, we cleaned up a little then headed to downtown Payson to see the Classic Car Show that was a part of the Golden Onion Days festival. (I still really wish they would've named the festival something a little more alluring.) We grabbed Rodney, Grandpa Thompson, and Katie on our way over. There were several really nice cars. I tend to stick with the late 60s/early 70s muscle cars or (my favorite) a late 50s Corvette. In fact, Jeff knew the owner of one of the Corvette's on display and I actually got to sit in it! Not quite as comfortable or roomy as my amazing Honda Pilot, but I would trade in the Pilot for the Corvette any day! That evening, Penny and Katie joined us for a little BBQ at our house. It was a pretty chill day...which was needed after the non-stop fun weekend we had! Thanks again to Stan and Kristi for inviting us to Ogden and for coming down to hang out!
