Heber Creeper

For Mother's Day, Grandma Penny wanted us to get her something that we could all do together so we bought tickets to ride the Heber Creeper Railroad. It was my first time. Evidently, this railroad does fun rides all year. During the holidays, they have the Polar Express. In October, they have a pumpkin themed ride. On certain Friday nights, they have date night rides with chocolate tasting and entertainment. Tonight was a simple family night ride. It was about an hour and a half long round trip through beautiful terrain around Deer Creek reservoir. It had been raining early in the evening so we even got to see a vibrant rainbow over the reservoir. There were fiddlers on the train and other entertainment. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Danny especially loved watching the engine move from the "front" to the "back" of the train to pull us back to the station. All in all, it was a perfectly fun family evening.

They had a "gun fight" before the train departed the station.
