12 Days of Christmas Kindness: Day 5

This weekend Sundance Mountain Resort finally opened for its ski/snowboarding season! The boys have been DYING to go for months! As a part of their Christmas, we bought them passes...but they still made sure to start their day with Christmas kindness. Today's activity was to go to the temple to vicariously perform what we believe are eternal life saving ordinances for those of our ancestors who have passed on. In years past, we have gone to do this work at the Salt Lake City temple and then stayed to look at the beautiful lights on Temple Square. However, because of the boys' anticipation of a day of snowboarding, they chose to go early in the morning to the temple in Payson. It didn't matter what location they chose, the work is the same...and I like to believe their snowboarding day was better because of their choice to give the gift of life to someone beyond the grave. What greater kindness can be shown than to help someone into heaven?!
