12 Days of Christmas Kindness: Day 6

At the beginning of each December, we decide as a family what 12 activities we would like to do for our 12 Days of Christmas Kindness. There are a few that are definitely repeats and some that the boys like to change up. This year they decided that they wanted to help make and deliver goodie plates to certain friends and neighbors. Because of time constraints, I pre-made certain goodies but the boys helped me make a family favorite, Christmas crack (saltine toffee crackers with chocolate), and pumpkin rolls. Sometimes I think it's a little easier to do it myself...but certainly more fun with the boys (and messy!). Jonas even joined in on the fun. Once the desserts were completed, we sat down as a family to decide who we felt would need this act of kindness the most. I will admit that we are often the recipients of many goodie plates. Sometimes it can be a bit of a sugar overload and sometimes we don't finish all the goodies, but we always enjoy receiving them and having those brief moments connecting with friends and neighbors. Tonight we chose 5 families to deliver plates to. It was a great way to end an already beautiful Sunday.
